Built in 1902, the Chippewa Hotel's express purpose has been
accommodating and boarding Island visitors. The Chippewa is
the home of the famed Pink Pony Bar and Grill, which was established
in the late 1940's and has been a favorite meeting spot for
yachters, boaters and visitors alike.
During the winter of 1994/1995, the Chippewa Hotel saw
a $3 million renovation which included the addition of new
lakeside luxury suites and modern day amenities in each
room. At this time a new restaurant was added and an outdoor
deck was built to allow patrons a chance to enjoy our beautiful
waterfront location.
As we prepare to celebrate our 100-year birthday at the
Chippewa Hotel, we would like you, our guests, to join in
the fun and festivities. We are planning special events
for the entire 2002 season to show our appreciation to our
guests who have helped us achieve this goal.
We can promise you that our 100-year birthday will be nothing
short of spectacular with events and activities reflecting
the image of the Chippewa Hotel as you know it now, as well
as, the Chippewa Hotel of yesteryear. This is one birthday
celebration you won't want to miss!
